The Creator Catalog started as a personal rolodex for me that I had made using google sheets – but after sharing it around with other people looking for creators I realized that there was a definite need for something more publically available. Not only will this benefit publishers, hiring editors, ect. but it will benefit the creators to be part of a one stop shop!
I was definitely inspired by The Manuscript Wishlist which is a site dedicated to agents and editors in the book publishing industry – it’s a great site that I have used when I was looking for an agent myself or when I want to spy on what editors are currently looking for.
In the future I would love to make The Creator Catalog a bigger form of a community for writers and artists to use for support, learning, as well as boosting their careers.
This site will always be 100% free for creators as well as industry people looking to hire. If you want to donate feel free and I will put all the money into making this site better – right now its all free wordpress plugins haha.
